What We Did This Summer | Richardson Mayor’s Summer Internship Program

August 29, 2018 By Alliance Architects

This summer, Alliance Architects Inc. joined the City of Richardson in supporting the Richardson Mayor’s Summer Internship Program.  Modeled after the White House Felllows program, the Richardson Mayor’s Summer Internship Program is a paid, eight-week summer internship that provides Richardson public high school students with a job in their chosen industry of interest.  The internship provides real-world experience and on the job training.  Alliance Architect’s Gloria Boyd, spearheaded the entire internship process this summer.

This summer, Alliance Architects hosted Elijah Montague.  Elijah attends Richardson High School and will graduate in June 2019.  Elijah had an interest in architecture when he applied for the program and has demonstrated a strong desire to learn every aspect of the architecture profession.  It’s been a great experience for both Alliance Architects and Elijah.
