Anna Walsh is an invaluable part of the production team at Alliance Architects, Inc. and she is celebrating her first AAIversary! Anna loves all things nerdy and a good “cup of joe.”
Why did you choose Architecture/Design?
In my junior year of high school, I went with a friend to visit the University of Arkansas as a potential college pick. I found out about their architecture program a few weeks before and was able to meet with one of the advisors during our visit. I was completely inspired by many of the projects (some finished, most works in progress) sitting on tables that were done by current students, but a part of me also felt jealous form seeing them. It was so different from what I was used to. A handful of students working on a Saturday – X-ACTO knives, cutting boards, chipboard, and glue bottles on almost every surface. Computer screens and headphones with AutoCAD in the background. I can’t really explain it other than there was something there in that haphazard studio space that drove me to apply.
