Shipping company relocates, signs 1.15M-SF lease near DFW Airport
Uline will take over 1.2 million square feet of space in Passport Park’s Building 1, with completion slated for 2021. This marks another outstanding partnership with Trammell Crow Company, CBRE Global Investors, The Conlan Company, and Alliance Architects, Inc. This huge shipping hub at DFW also includes Tempur Sealy’s 585,000 square foot distribution center. The Uline lease is one of the biggest industrial deals to hit North Texas so far this year.
Wisconsin-based shipping company Uline has signed the largest lease of the third quarter so far in North Texas, taking an entire 1.15 million-square-foot speculative warehouse near Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport.
The property, located at 2600 Rental Car Drive in Irving, is the largest warehouse within the 2.02 million-square-foot Passport Park, developed by a joint venture between Trammell Crow Co. and CBRE Global Investors. Uline plans to move into the cross-dock distribution center in May 2021. Steve Trese and Steve Koldyke of CBRE represented the landlord in the lease agreement.
“Passport Park Building 1 was designed to accommodate the demands of large bulk users, like Uline, that typically require extra land to expand operations, increase parking capabilities, or increase trailer storage,” said Jake Marks, principal of TCC’s Dallas-Fort Worth business unit in a prepared statement. “We are looking forward to completing this building for Uline and to wrapping up construction on the additional three buildings at Passport Park in the next few months.”
With the lease, Uline will be relocating from its current warehouse at 980 W. Bethel Road in Coppell. The company takes 985,000 square feet at that location and has been there since 2011, according to its website.
Earlier this year, Sealy Mattress leased 585,910 square feet at Passport Park Building 2. With both leases, the entire park is now 84 percent occupied.
