GEA Group leasing new industrial project.

An international technology firm has landed in Dallas Cowboys’ owner Jerry Jones’ Star Business Park in Frisco.
GEA Group is leasing 78,000 square feet of industrial space in the Star Business Park, which is located between the Dallas North Tollway and Preston Road, according to filings with the state.
The more than century-old German-based firm provides technology and services to food products firms around the globe. GEA has more than 18,000 employees worldwide.
GEA Group already has an office in Frisco.
The industrial building at 16005 Gateway Drive that GEA Group leased in Frisco is a new addition to Star Business Park. Outfitting the Star Commerce Center II building will cost more than $3.2 million, with occupancy set for this fall.
Alliance Architects is designing the project.
Lincoln Property Co. and the Jones family’s Blue Star Land just leased another 250,000-square-foot building in the project to e-commerce retailer Amazon.
Lincoln Property’s Tom Kuhlmann, Michael Peinado and Gil Stroube lease the business park.
Earlier this year, Blue Star Land filed plans with Frisco for several additional buildings it’s planning in the project.
In 2018, Blue Star Land bought the more than 200-acre Frisco Park 25 industrial project for almost $38 million. The industrial park, which is south of U.S. Highway 380, was renamed Star Business Park.
A 400,000-square-foot Dallas Cowboys Merchandising Distribution and Sales Center is also located in the industrial park.
