Gloria Boyd is a Project Manager, a University of Houston alumni, and a huge lover of coffee.
Why did you choose Architecture/Design?
I love having the ability to create a 3D form of art for people to occupy and enjoy.
What advice would you give to new employees?
Communication is key to a successful project. Always ask questions if you don’t know the answer.
What has been a favorite project of yours and why?
My favorite type of project are those in the K-12 realm. We have the opportunity to revive existing K-12 schools that range from 20 to 50 years old and get to experience both the history and the opening of a new chapter.
Coffee or tea?
Coffee, ALWAYS coffee. I am not a coffee connoisseur, but a cup of coffee in the morning brightens my day.
What time does your alarm go off in the morning and what time do you actually get up?
My alarm goes off at 5:05AM and I get up around 5:30AM. The struggle becomes real within the 25 minutes of trying to get out of bed to start my day. But when I am up, I’m ready to take on the world!
What is your Starbucks order?
Grande Flat White with Almond Milk.
People would be surprised if they knew:
I have traveled to over 20 different countries around the world and don’t plan to stop anytime soon!
