Bark + Build is a doghouse and cat condo design/build competition between professional teams consisting of architects and contractors. The finished doghouses and cat condos are displayed at NorthPark Center in Dallas during the second half of November and judged for design and construction quality. The doghouses and cat condos are auctioned, with all proceeds going to the SPCA of Texas.
The competition is hosted in partnership between AIA Dallas and TEXO to feature the design creativity of architects and craftsmanship of contractors, with proceeds benefiting SPCA’s Home for the Holidays. The entries are now on view in the AD EX windows and will remain there until December 7, except for the six juror-selected winner which will be displayed at NorthPark Center from November 19 – December 28. The other homes will also be displayed at select Sewell Automotive Companies locations from December 7 – December 28.
