Suncreek United Methodist Church (SUMC) has experienced accelerated growth in recent years, thus prompting a need for a re-design of their existing gathering and classroom spaces for their youth. Renovations include an upgrade to the large multi-use events center (Palmer Hall), which is attached to the residential structure. The new design required the demolition of the existing residential structure, and allowed a new 9,000 square foot facility, which consists of classroom spaces with folding panel partitions for maximum space flexibility, gathering areas, storage for SUMC’s various charitable groups, restrooms with showers to allow for the hosting of lock-in events, and a commercial-grade. The new building’s design gives a nod to other existing architecture on the SUMC campus, while integrating with the existing Palmer Hall structure in a cohesive way.
